Bash is 5 years old and a week after starting kindergarten I took him to the hospital for a stomach bug. After being sent home I had a feeling in my stomach I couldn’t shake and even though he stopped throwing up he just seemed off. We returned to the hospital 2 days later and after only a hour Bash was being rushed to surgery to have a drain put in his head and we got the diagnosis medulloblastoma. Since then Bash has  been through two more surgery’s including a 13 hour tumor resection where they were able to remove all of the tumor, they don’t believe it has spread. In his journey he has continued to fight and defy the odds learning how to walk again in only a month most of the time without his walker being able to speak again just as before. He currently receiving proton radiation at Cincinnati Children’s and we now know we he has medullo group 4. To say this has brought us to our knees is an understatement but even on his sickest day’s Bash’s strength has keeps those around him afloat.
