About David

David is 11 years old and just started middle school. He loves soccer, riding his bike, playing video games, and watching anime. Math and science are his favorite subjects, and he was so proud to be placed in the advanced math class this year. His favorite color is purple, and his favorite restaurant is The Melting Pot.

David has always had a spicy personality—we lovingly call it his fire. It’s the spark that makes him determined, bold, and full of energy. That same fire shows up in how he faces challenges and keeps pushing forward.

This past spring, before his diagnosis, David received his school’s Hope Award, an honor given to a student who never gives up and always tries their best. At the time, it reflected the hardworking, caring kid we’ve always known him to be. Now, with his Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG) diagnosis, the award feels even more meaningful—a reminder of the strength, resilience, and hope that define him.

David’s caring heart, determination, and fiery spirit continue to inspire everyone around him.
