Michael’s Story

Michael is the oldest of three siblings and a boy whose heart reflects the kindness of Jesus. He is a gentle protector, imaginative builder, and deep thinker who dreams of becoming a doctor someday.

On May 28, 2025, Michael was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, an aggressive pediatric brain cancer. He underwent emergency brain surgery to remove a tumor wrapped around his cerebellum. Since then, he has been bravely recovering from Posterior Fossa Syndrome, which affects his speech, balance, and coordination.

Michael recently finished six weeks of proton therapy in Seattle and is now on a six-week break before beginning a year-long chemotherapy regimen in Portland. He was classified with Group 3 Medulloblastoma-a high-risk type that often requires aggressive treatment-but we are thankful there is no metastasis.

Through it all, Michael’s spirit shines. Even on his hardest days, he smiles and says, “That’s okay- I’m tough.” He is a fighter- a little David staring down Goliath-and we believe God is not done writing miracles into his story.

We are holding onto faith, hope, and the belief that together we can help children like Michael by supporting research for a cure.
