Honoring William and the Mission of Will Fire

William was the youngest of four boys, and from the start, he knew how to stand out. Whether he was defending his spot at the dinner table or guarding his favorite snacks with clever hiding spots - like chocolate tucked inside a fiber cereal box - William brought humor, creativity, and heart to everything he did. He was ornery in the most lovable way, endlessly endearing, and fiercely loyal. He was an aspiring master Lego builder and had a vivid imagination that made the ordinary feel extraordinary. 

During his cancer treatment, William was given the opportunity to create a superhero. He imagined Will Fire - a bold, unstoppable force on a mission to cure childhood cancer and discover better treatments that wouldn't make kids so sick. Will Fire wasn't just a character. He was William's voice, his hope, and his fight. 

William dreamed of working at NASA one day, and he saw the world with wide-eyed wonder. Even as he faced the hardest parts of his journey, his faith grew stronger, and his spirit never dimmed. In his final days, his father envisioned William as a comet - blazing through life with brilliance, captivating everyone in his orbit, and leaving behind a shimmering trail of memories that continue to guide us. 

Today, we carry forward William's legacy through The Cure Starts Now. His mission lives on in Will Fire, reminding us that courage, imagination, and love can fuel real change.
