Lucas is an identical twin, 4 days after their 11th birthday he was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma with mets to spine. Through it all, he just did what was needed of him. The cancer alone is a devastating diagnosis but as this was the tail end of Covid, his twin couldn’t visit. After all the treatments and scares and scans and medicines, we are enjoying life. We made the decision to homeschool them so we could travel and Luke can do his work at his own pace. 

He’s an incredible kid, witty and intelligent, passionate and serious. He’s always loved playing and watching basketball. He does more watching after his surgery but we go to NBA games when we can. He can often be found playing video games or planning our next comic con visit.
