Oaklynn Joan Laurent, also known as Oakie Jo, is bright, smart and beautiful.  On November 26th, 2024 a tumor was found in her brain.

On December 2nd, 2024, she faced her biggest challenge yet. Doctors were able to remove part of the tumor, but a portion remained intertwined with her brainstem that controls vital motor functions, making complete removal impossible. The full pathology came back confirming it is Pilocytic Astrocytoma.

March 19, 2025 Oakie Jo was rushed to Children's Hospital of WI and underwent emergency brain surgery to relieve fluid and pressure off her brain. 

Another brain surgery is scheduled for last week in March. 

Oakie Jo’s journey is far from over, but her strength and spirit are a testament to the power of love, resilience, and hope.
