Sophia is a kind, caring and tender hearted teen. Her journey started out in March 2024 when she was having vomiting, unsteadiness on her feet, unresponsive conversations and slurring of her words. After a trip to the ER, we received the devastating news that no one wishes upon anyone. Sophia’s CT scan showed a mass on her brain. She has endured 6 weeks of radiation, many needles sticks, countless platelet transfusions, and so far is waiting to start her 4th cycle of chemo. Throughout everything and the pain she has been through, Sophia remains positive and upbeat about her future. She is an inspiration and her faith in God shows everyday. DMG is a horrible disease that no human, let alone a child, should ever have to fight.
