Breckin was diagnosed with his first brain tumor in 2016, when he was seven years old. This tumor caused him to go blind but it was not cancerous.  He had 4 brain surgeries, two shunt with a full resection on June 1st 2016. Then in 2021 Breckin started having some health concerns. By January 2022, he started having tremors, extremes amount of thirst and urination and major fatigue, along with a huge amount of weight loss. Due to covid restrictions he was put on a waitlist and finally in March, a week after he turned 13, I carried Breckin into the ER demanding a MRI. The next day we learn he has a new brain tumor. He was sent back to St Jude, where his original tumor was removed for more test. On March 27th we learn Breckin had a mixed germ cell tumor which wrecked havoc on his Endocrine system.  Breckin went through six rounds of chemo (98 doses) and 36 Proton treatments on his brain and spine. Breckin is coming up on two years since active treatment but deals with side effects everyday. He has a positive outlook on life and always has a smile on his face.
