Dylan was diagnosed with Anaplastic Ependymoma in July of 2021 at only two years old in the posterior fossa. Before the diagnosis he would vomit and would hit himself in the door. I took him multiple times to the doctor and they just change his milk, Told us he had liquid in ear and sent of for tubes in his ear. Come July 4th of 2021 we were getting ready to celebrate the holiday, but like every morning recently Dylan had committed and then his neck turned. We rushed to our local hospital where they did a CT scan and that when we were told he had hydrocephalus and a brain tumor.  We were then air lifted to our nearest children hospital in Danville PA. He had a 12 hour surgery here and were given our options and explained everything. Since he was two they recommended proton radiation so we went to CHOP. He lost his talking, walking and eating. We were inpatient rehab at CHOP, to work on this. He has posterior fossa syndrome. Hard to regulate his emotions he lost his left hearing. Today we still do MRIs every 4 months. We are watching a spot which most likely is radiation changes, He is still g tube fed, but slowly he is overcoming so much and is a happy 5 year old. We have faced a lot of challenges but still receive therapy that is helping him.
