Johannes was a special young man who was even smiling when times were tough. In March 2022 he got his DIPG diagnosis and started radiation and chemo immediately. It worked quite good so he could return to a nearly normal life again. The scans in December showed progress and in April the symptoms got worse so he started another radiation therapy which he completed gallantly without anesthesia. The MRI scans were better than in 2022 but in September the tumor came back. We switched the medicine but that did not help. On November 23rd, Johannes went back to God. We lost our sunshine and the best son and brother anyone can imagine. Johannes had the plan to write a book after being healed for other children suffering DIPG to help them not to lose hope and to fight.
