Briana is 8 years old and was diagnosed with a Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG), Grade 4, which is the most aggressive type. 

Briana grew up in Florida but was spending part of her summer vacation with her dad in NY. While away from home Briana started experiencing a facial droop and some weakness, which lead her family to bring her to the hopsital. On 7/28/23, her MRI showed a 4cm mass near her brain stem. Briana undergo emergency surgery at Stony Brook Children's Hospital to remove as much as possible which was around 50%. After recovery she went to St. Charles Rehabilitation to regain her strength. Then, Briana had 6 weeks of proton radiation in NYC and was on ONC201.

Unfortunately, her tumor still progressed. Briana continued re-radiation at Memorial Sloan Kettering.  However, during all of this she was a fighter and did not let anything stop her. She still went to school and dance class. She was the happiest, bravest, strongest person.
