Hello, I am the mother of Devin Jr. and we recently found out in April of 2023 that our son has DIPG at Joe DiMaggio hospital. Of course the first thing we did was try to immediately get a second opinion after being told that there was nothing that they could do other than radiation. I called St. Jude begging for someone to look at his MRI images in which I was informed that they were not currently running any trials for DIPG. We were devastated/heartbroken but was not giving up hope. We decided to make an appointment at The University of Miami Hospital desperately looking for help. I can say that their staff was more compassionate and understanding towards our feelings. The University of Miami looked at his MRI images and confirmed his diagnosis.🙌🏽 God must have heard our prayers because St. Jude called us back and told us they want to see Devin Jr because they wanted to look more into his MRI images and they just received approval for a new trial. Without a second thought we was on the next thing smoking. By of grace of God, we are here at St Jude!!
