The Cure Starts Now's Tribute Funds

Dallas D'antonio's Tribute Fund

On July 30, 2023, at the time was the worst day of our lives (mom and dad). After having a fun adventure in manhattan Dallas woke up from his nap-stuck. He had an absent seizure, where he was just looking up and pointing to the sky. As parents, we were helpless and freaked out and called 911 and watched our child in this condition for 15 minutes. In the ER, Dallas was recommended to go to an outpatient numerologist where he was recommended to have an EEG and MRI scan of his brain. The appointments were scheduled and booked, and lived life normally for the 2 weeks up until we've received the results of the MRI (August 16, 2023). That's when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and that's when we picked a new date for the worse day of our life. We met with a brain surgeon to remove the tumor and he told us he can remove it the same week or we can celebrate Dallas' 4th birthday on the 27th of August and then have the operation after. Dallas had the best birthday party that I've ever seen, it just screamed fun! It brought great joy to our eyes to witness how happy our little boy was. But little did our little boy know, he was going to undergo surgery on 9/8/23. Surgery went well, and it was a relief to know that the tumor was fully removed. The hospital stay was traumatic for him, and to us. We were apart from his siblings and Dallas was not himself. He couldn't walk and I feared that he would be in this state forever but he snapped back and showed us how resilient he is and got up and started moving. Days later, doctors from the cancer center came to speak to us to tell me that he was diagnosed with Ependymoma. And that's when I really experienced the worst day of my life. He was recommended for proton radiation where today he completed day 2 of treatment . Our lives have been interrupted by this disease and we're very optimistic that our worst day of our life will remain the day where he was diagnosed with cancer. Dallas has been living life freely, releasing all of his energy daily. He loves his superheroes, you can not tell him that he's not Leonardo from the Ninja Turtles or Miles Morales from Spiderman. He is our sweet little boy that everyone loves.
