Breelynn was born on October 31st, 2017 🎃👻. From the moment she was born she decided to do things how she wanted. She loved her big brothers, Beau and Chase, and had no problem keeping up with them. Breelynn loved to dance, sing, swim and cook the list goes on and on. 🦄💜✨
Breelynn was a healthy 4 year old with no prior health issues. Her mom noticed that her eye had begun to turn inward. After seeing an ophthalmologist they were then referred to Valley Children’s Hospital for an urgent MRI. That is when they discovered the unfortunate news that Breelynn had Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. A tumor on the brain stem and it was inoperable. Breelynn immediately began treatment and had a picc line put in, a shunt placement surgery, as well as 13 sessions of radiation..
Breelynn will always be remembered as a child who cherished life and had a zest for adventure that took her on many journeys. She was fearless and never shied away from trying new things, and was curious to explore and discover new wonders. Her strength and determination were an inspiration to all of us, and her fight against DIPG was truly remarkable. She never lost her spirit, her hope, or her courage, even when facing the most difficult challenges.
Breelynn's family misses her dearly and send all their love to Heaven everyday, knowing that she is now cancer-free dancing, singing and playing. 🦄💜✨
A parent should never have to witness the nightmare of DIPG and what it takes from their child. It is crucial that more awareness, funding and research continues.
