Alyssa, or Lyssie as her family and friends called her, moved mountains since she was born. She was full of life and her smile lit up every room she entered. She had autism as well as epilepsy, we were told she would never independently walk or talk - both things she mastered in her own time. We found her tumor by accident on 1/19/2023, with it being removed on 3/1/2023, which coincidentally was her adoption date anniversary. We received her devastating prognosis on 3/15/2023. She powered through a rehab stay as well as radiation. While her surgery took a lot of her strength and skills away, including her ability to independently walk, she continued to amaze everyone around her with her strength, courage and happiness.
