Ella was diagnosed with medulloblastoma just before Christmas 2021. A few days post surgery she was diagnosed with posterior fossa syndrome. She could not speak, swallow, move her right arm or hand, hold her head up, sit up or walk, and she had double vision. She spent 8 weeks at CHOP doing 5+ hours a day of pt/ot/speech and then received proton radiation in the evenings. When we returned home, she continued with therapies while also doing 4 brutal rounds of chemo. She has fought so hard since day one. She is now out of treatment and NED. Her pfs is still unfortunately a major battle but she is back at school without a wheelchair and continues to improve. Ella loves reading, family game nights, and going to the movies. She loves her siblings and they have been such a huge help to her through this time.
