The Cure Starts Now's Tribute Funds

Anna Bearce's Tribute Fundraiser

Anna is the daughter of Jake and Misti Bearce and sibling to Brandon, Dustin, Sophia, and Sawyer. At the age of 11 Anna was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a malignant, high grade brain tumor. Anna had surgery to remove the tumor and was subsequently diagnosed with posterior fossa syndrome (a complication of surgery). Postoperatively Anna underwent 30 rounds of radiation and 9 rounds of chemo. Due to PSF, Anna has spent many hours in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy to regain some of the functions she lost. Anna's hard work, grit and determination is the reason she is where she is today, a thriving 16 year old. She participates in many clubs at school including; key club, Latin club, class officers and drama. She is also the manager of the boys Varsity and Jr Varsity soccer teams and Anna currently has a 4.0 GPA. Inspired by the amazing nurses that took care of Anna during treatment, she aspires to work in healthcare someday. She is currently enrolled in the pre nursing program at her high school's technical center. Anna loves to shop, bake, the ocean, and going to the movies.
