On March 10th Lilah was diagnosed with ATRT, an aggressive form of brain cancer. She was just 18 months old at the time of diagnosis. ATRT is very aggressive and will come back if not treated with chemotherapy and radiation. Right now Lilah is currently in her second round of chemotherapy. She still has to complete three rounds of high dose chemo with stem cell rescue. Later she will have radiation. Each round of chemotherapy is 21-28 days. During treatment Lilah is inpatient at the hospital. She is surrounded by family and love. Lilah's parents, Tyler and Katelynn, and her little brother, William have been by her side every day. Through this intense treatment Lilah has remained her smiley self. Every day she wakes up ready to dance. She is strong and resilient. At just 20 months old she is showing us what it means to be courageous. Lilah should be done with treatment completely by next year. She will have to receive scans for the rest of her life to ensure the cancer doesn’t return. Despite the poor prognosis, Tyler and Katelynn remain hopeful that Lilah will make a full recovery. She is a very special girl who just radiates light.
